Refugee Benefit Concert
The Refugee Ministry
The Refugee Ministry at St. Paul’s, in association with AURA, sponsors individuals and families fleeing their countries in search of asylum and protection, assists with inter-cultural learning and also builds social connections through friendships and shared meals. This valuable work takes the participation of the whole community through prayer and through the contribution of time, skills, and resources.

Join us for an unforgettable concert by acclaimed Jamaican-Canadian pianist Alan Hobbins and special guest, Ryan Downey, tenor. With a repertoire including Beethoven, Chopin, and other incredible composers, this evening promises to connect music and compassion.
A member of the St. Paul’s community, Alan has performed widely, including at Glenn Gould Studio, St. Lawrence Centre for the Arts, the National Library of Canada, the Lincoln Center New York and the Ward Theatre in his native Jamaica. He was awarded the Chopin Medal of Recognition for his 2022 all-Chopin debut CD recording.
Mark your calendars! Together, we can make a difference in our community and provide help and support to those seeking refuge in our city.
