Reflecting on the things God is doing in the midst of this pandemic, we remain inspired by the many opportunities that God is providing for us to share his gospel and love our neighbour in word and deed.

Early last year, we identified the need for an Executive Director to help us fulfil all the new and exciting ministry possibilities God is giving us. We budgeted for this role previously and are so grateful to the SPBS community for their increased financial support of God’s work here.

The responsibilities of this new Executive Director role were scoped to include continuing to build a new St. Paul’s as we emerge from the pandemic, launching and establishing the Ministry Apprenticeship Program (MAP), growing stewardship and taking care of our financial resources, and supporting the planting of a new church at St. George by the Grange.

With guidance from a third-party specialist recruitment firm, in early autumn 2022, St. Paul’s kicked off an extensive Executive Director search process culminating in multi-round interviews with several impressive and qualified candidates

After much discernment, we couldn’t be more excited to share that Kent Williams has been appointed SPBS’s new Executive Director and will formally join the team in early March, working closely with Bishop Jenny and Director of Operations, Ingrid Suld, alongside the SPBS Ministry and Operations teams.

Kent has been a member of the St. Paul’s community since 2016. You can read more about Kent in his bio here.

Over the coming weeks, please pray for Kent and his family as he works through the transition of his role with his current employer and prepares for this exciting new opportunity to serve at St. Paul’s.
