Staff
Ben enjoys playing guitar, biking, all things aviation, and beautiful mathematics. Ben and his wife Julia both grew up in the Toronto area into immigrant families, and they deeply love this diverse global city.
He earned a BA in Religion from the University of Nigeria and a B.Th. from Trinity Theological College, respectively. Austyn is also certified in Language and Ministerial Studies from Crowther Graduate Theological Seminary and is currently working on his Master's in Theology at the University of Toronto (Trinity College). Austyn has served as a Priest, Youth Chaplain, and Children's Ministry Coordinator in the Anglican Communion and has been involved in several outreach programs. Austyn assists with our worship services on Sundays and plays a key role in welcoming visitors and newcomers to Canada.
He is happily married to Rejoice, who is a teacher, and they are blessed with a daughter and twin boys. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, art, listening to good music, playing soccer, and table tennis.
Nathan holds a BA in Political Science from Wilfred Laurier University and a Masters of Divinity in Theological Studies from Tyndale University. Alongside his role at St Paul’s, Nathan works with other Christian non-profits to bring the message of Jesus to their communities across Canada. He loves basketball, exploring the city, and a few laughs over a pint with friends.
With qualifications in communication and education from the University of Canberra, Suzie has had a diverse career in marketing/communications in both the private and charity sectors, in addition to teaching in schools in Australia and England.
Suzie is married to Nathan, and together they’re passionate about seeing the church as an agent of renewal in Toronto. In her spare time, she enjoys exploring the city, good food with friends, and photography.
Linda has a Diploma in Graphic Design from Durham College and professional certification as an art educator from the Royal Conservatory of Music. She brings her professional background with curriculum and arts as well as her experience as a parent into her role helping with our children's ministry programming.
Born and raised in Canada, she moved to Toronto in 2002 and loves living in a diverse downtown culture.
Linda loves nature, art and science fiction. In her spare time she can be found gardening, reading a good sci fi book or sketching at one of Toronto's many outdoor spaces.
He previously served on the Board of Trustees and started attending St. Paul’s Bloor Street in 2016 with his wife, Cecilia, and their two children Anthony and Victoria. Over the years Kent has served in various ministries in the church. Kent and his family have lived in the Toronto area for most of their lives and have been residing in mid-town since 2010. Kent has been a Christian his whole life and was raised in an evangelical church. In 2015 he enrolled part-time at the University of Toronto Wycliffe College in the Master of Divinity program. As with any growing family, he and his wife spend most of their spare time with their kids at various school functions and activities.
Nadia was born and raised in Toronto where she currently lives with her husband John and two sons, Noah and Nathan. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Toronto and her post-graduate at Centennial College. Nadia has a storied volunteer career serving on school councils, leading fundraisers and other community initiatives. A proud baseball mom who enjoys reading, baking bread, gardening, and throwing a good party, Nadia is inspired and motivated by what the Lord has in store for St. George’s both now and in the future.
Joanne was born and raised in Toronto. She is a graduate of The University of Waterloo and George Brown College. In her free time, Joanne enjoys painting in watercolours and oils.
In his spare time, Ken dabbles in songwriting and music composition and loves film and stand-up comedy.
During his professional work, Steve has also served as a priest at several churches being Priest in Charge at Little Trinity, St John’s Nassagaweya, and St George on Yonge, where he led the development of the new church.
Steve is a former Chair of the Board of the Scott Mission, and currently is Chair of the Board of St. Paul’s Lamoreaux Centre.
Steve is married to Chris and they have 4 children and 7 grandchildren distributed in Toronto, Calgary and Mexico City.
John was educated at Magdalen College, Oxford (B.A. and M.A. in Classics), Regent College (M.C.S. in Church History and MDiv.), UBC (M.A. in History), and Simon Fraser University (PhD. in History). Prior to pursuing a career in pastoral ministry and academia in North America, he worked as an investment analyst and as a journalist and editor in the UK. He and his wife, Kirsten, who is a travel consultant, have been married for 40 years. They immigrated to Canada in 1989 and have two adult daughters and three granddaughters.
John’s interests include sports, movies, politics and literature, although not necessarily in that order.
Trustees
Born in Trinidad, Winville moved to Montreal with his parents and three sisters at the age of 6 and was raised in the Anglican faith. He eventually moved to Toronto to study at York University where he graduated with a BA in Political Science and Economics. He has spent over 30 years in financial services and banking working for Canadian and global banks both domestically and overseas. He also enjoys cooking, long distance running and recently completed a wines certification program at George Brown College.
Professionally, Sarah has spent the past 17 years providing communications strategies to some of the world’s top brands in Canada, the U.S. and the U.K. She currently works at a global public relations and public affairs consultancy where she leads the business development and marketing efforts for the firm’s Canadian operations. Sarah holds a degree in media, information and techno-culture studies from Western University, and belongs to the Canadian Public Relations Society (CPRS) and the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC).
Beng and his wife, Eirene, first visited St Paul’s in 2012 when looking for a church with a good youth group for their children, Caleb and Sarah. Relocating to Toronto after completing his MA in Theological Studies from Regent College, Vancouver, B.C., Beng was appointed Director of Finance and Administration for OMF Canada. Beng is actively involved in small group ministry, currently facilitating a Community Bible Study group. He also sits on the Boards of two other Christian organizations and has hosted Alpha courses. Besides traveling, Beng enjoys watching Formula 1 racing, playing some golf, and walking the golf courses when tournaments are being played.
Karl is an Exchange Traded Fund (ETF) pioneer responsible for setting the strategic direction for the region and leading a team of First Trust investment professionals delivering ETF solutions to investment advisors and portfolio managers.
He provides insightful market commentary on various topics, including current events and industry trends as a guest on BNN Bloomberg. He has also been featured in multiple publications such as The Financial Post, Globe & Mail, Reuters, Morningstar, Investment Executive, CTV, and was featured as an "Industry Icon" by Wealth Professional.
Modupe lived in England for 20 years and completed a Master of Science at the London School of Economics. She was a Business Systems Analyst and Software Developer, providing key technology solutions for investment banks in London, Dusseldorf, and New York. Modupe has worked with consulting firms like Andersen Consulting and financial institutions such as Barclays, Natwest, WestLB AG (West Deutsche Landesbank), and the London Stock Exchange. She set up an information technology consultancy with her husband, which they managed for many years.
She now focuses her time on her family, arranging her schedule around her two kids. She enjoys painting, watching sports and going for long walks in her free time.
