An update from Barry Parker

Dear Friends,
As you know I have been visibly struggling with mobility issues. I am appreciative of your support and prayers as I have worked through this back issue using non-invasive therapies. The problem lies in my lower back and it has continued to worsen. Hence, surgery is the next course of treatment. As of August 20, I will be out of the parish on a few days of vacation which will be followed by surgery. I will be away from St. Paul’s for some time until I am medically cleared to return.
In the meantime, we are blessed to have an incredible community of clergy, staff, trustees and volunteers who will continue the growing ministry of St. Paul’s. Bishop Kevin has appointed Mark Regis as Priest-in-Charge as required by church rules but as Christians, everyone at St. Paul’s is called to serve. I have no doubt this wonderful community will continue to thrive in my absence.
Blessings to you all as a new Fall season of ministry begins. Again, I appreciate your prayers and support and look forward to returning to active ministry.
