We have a body, a mind and many emotions. We also have a spirit – the inner central core of your being.
There are many opportunities at St. Paul’s to strengthen our spirit. Prayer Ministries, Health Ministry, Lay Pastoral Visitors, Retreat in Daily Life and Pastoral Counseling are just a few of the ministries at St. Paul’s Bloor Street that will help strengthen our relationship with God.
There are also ministries that will help when we are experiencing transition in our lives. DivorceCare, Health Ministry, Lay Pastoral Visiting Ministry, and The Marriage Course are a few ministries offered at St. Paul’s Bloor Street that gives us strength during this time of transition in our lives.
Healing Service: Every Friday at 12:10 pm in the St. Paul’s Chapel we gather to pray for healing – physically, emotionally and spiritually for the world, those we care about and ourselves. This is a quiet reflective service with the Eucharist that provides several opportunities for prayer.
Christian Meditation: Every Friday at 1:00pm we gather to learn silence and stillness in prayer through Christian Meditation.
Inner Compass: This group is for those who are interested in developing a closer relationship with God through prayer, discernment, reflective living and fellowship. Please contact Janice Lewis for more information.

Members of the Lay Pastoral Visiting Ministry team visit church members with health concerns, many of whom are elderly and who live in rehabilitation centers, nursing homes or hospitals. They visit in order to share the love of God and our church family with them.
This ministry supplements the congregational care provided by our ministry staff team and is offered by members with warm hearts and good listening skills. Some Pastoral Visitors visit a particular homebound person once a month; others receive special training and take Communion to our homebound members. A training program is provided for all areas of the visitation ministry and bi-monthly meetings provide support and additional training.
For more information on becoming a Lay Pastoral Visitor or to inquire about arranging a visit please contact the Rev. Anne Crosthwait at 416-961-8116 ext 225 or click the button: to send an e-mail.
