Founded in 1842, SPBS is a large evangelical church situated in the heart of downtown Toronto. SPBS maintains a long tradition of community, national and international outreach. Through the current incarnation of the outreach spirit of the parish: the Evangelism, Mission and Outreach group, ("EMO"), we support various in-house ministries and third party organizations, both secular and faith-based by providing resources (time, financial, personnel, talents, education) in cases where the mandate of the receiving organization parallels that of EMO. Some organizations we have recently partnered with: Habitat for Humanity, Caravan of Hope (El Salvador earthquake relief), Opportunity International, Interserve, Cure International.
Jacaranda was abandoned in 2000 when its owner fled rioting in the country. Kaduna Diocese purchased the farm in late 2003. The farm was a going concern when the owner left the country. However, due to neglect, the facilities are in need of refurbishment. The Kaduna Archdiocese purchased the property for NGN 54,000,000 (Approximately CAD$529,054)
